I first heard this poem on The Great Blasket Island on the West Coast of Ireland.
Come away oh human child,
To the waters and the wild.
With a faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping, than you can understand.
Where dips the rocky highland,
With sleuth wood in the lake.
There lies a leafy island,
Where flapping heron's wake
Come away oh human child...

The drowsy water rats,
There they've his their faery vats,
Full of berries and of reddest Stolen cherries.
